New measures Corona virus

Monday, 23 March 2020

RAI Amsterdam will follow with immediate effect the new measures announced by the Dutch government to prevent any further spread of the COVID-19 Corona virus. In concrete terms, this means that no events will be held in the RAI Convention Centre up to 1 June 2020.

“This decision has major consequences for everyone,” emphasises RAI Amsterdam CEO Paul Riemens. “We have to play our part in trying to minimise the chance of any further dissemination of the coronavirus. The health and well-being of everyone involved is our top priority. We recognise that this measure will have a major effect on visitors, exhibitors, suppliers and our whole organisation. The advice of the Netherlands National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) and Municipal Health Services (GGD) has been leading for us since the outbreak of coronavirus, and that is also the case now. We must and will make our contribution to bringing an end to the spread of COVID-19 as soon as possible.”

The new measures currently apply up to 1 June 2020.
