Local elections 2022 at RAI Amsterdam

Last week, from 14-16 March, residents of Amsterdam could vote for their city council and district committee. RAI Amsterdam was one of the larger voting stations in the city as well as the location where the votes are counted. The mayor of Amsterdam, Femke Halsema, visited RAI on March 16 to see how the counting of the votes went. The counting started in the morning with 44.000 ballot papers. Those papers came from polling stations that were already open to vote on Monday and Tuesday. 46,6% of the Amsterdam residents came to vote during these elections.

The biggest party during these elections was PvdA with 17,4% of the votes. The second biggest party was GroenLinks with 14,8% of the votes and the third biggest was D66 with 13,8%.
