The Netherlands in top 4 EU countries vaccination program

Monday, 8 March 2021

The acceleration of the vaccination program in the Netherlands is bearing fruit, according to data from the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC). Published data shows that in the Netherlands 7 percent of all adults have received a first injection so far. Only in Finland (7.7 percent), Denmark (8.8 percent) and Malta (10.1 percent) is that percentage even higher.

The number of injections per day in the RAI will be increased from 15 March. The GGD vaccination location will move from entrance G to hall 3. GPs will then also have the option of vaccinating themselves in the RAI. In total, 5200 people a day will be given a vaccination. Since June 2020, the RAI has also been used as a GGD test location. More than 400,000 Dutch people have already been tested in the RAI.

If the deliveries go as agreed now, everyone who wants to be vaccinated will have at least one shot around 1 July 2021.
