Lavazza and RAI Amsterdam extended their partnership during Horecava, the trend-setting event in the world of eating, drinking and sleeping outside the home. This means that guests at the RAI will continue to be served the internationally certified 100% organic, UTZ- certified coffee for the next five years.
Alteco is Lavazza’s most sustainable coffee and distributed very selectively due to its limited availability. The name Alteco means ‘high ground’ and refers to the mountain tops in Central America where Lavazza blends arabica coffee from the highest altitudes with a selected robusta variety, both grown in non-polluted areas. The beans originate from plantations which practice organic agriculture in accordance with UTZ’s sustainable environment principles. In 2019, Lavazza was awarded ninth place in the list of most renowned companies in the field of CSR worldwide.
The new contract was signed by Maurits van der Sluis (COO RAI) and Maayk de Poorter (general director Lavazza) in the presence of Jules Broex (director operations RAI).
