Humanitarian service point for the reception of refugees
In order to coordinate the reception of Ukrainian refugees in Amsterdam, refugees are registered at RAI Amsterdam. As of Wednesday 9 March they can register and relax at the RAI before they are assigned a location in the vicinity where they can stay.
The municipality of Amsterdam has been able to house Ukrainian refugees in various hotels in and around the city. The city currently offers space to 900 Ukrainians who fled their country due to the conflict. This number is increasing.
The Red Cross organizes and coordinates the 24/7 reception and registration of Ukrainian refugees who arrive at the RAI. As with the test and vaccination location of the public health service of Amsterdam (GGD), which is also housed in the RAI, the RAI supports The Red Cross in their work where possible. We are happy to contribute in this difficult time.
