First Edition of GreenTech North America Becomes a Reality

With the launch of the first edition of GreenTech North America, RAI Amsterdam has added a new international platform to its GreenTech portfolio. On 23 and 24 September 2026, growers, breeders, technology suppliers, researchers and other industry professionals from the United States and Canada gathered at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.

From Ambition to Reality

What began as an ambitious idea two years ago has evolved into a trade exhibition and knowledge platform for North American professionals in horticulture and controlled-environment growing. Featuring 110 exhibitors and a completely sold-out exhibition floor, the inaugural edition provided a space for innovation, knowledge sharing and new collaborations centred around Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA).

Knowledge Sharing and Innovation at the Forefront

Visitors were able to attend sessions covering topics such as technological innovation, sustainable growing methods, vertical farming and the future of controlled growing environments. Leading growers also shared their experiences and insights into the opportunities and challenges facing the sector.

RAI Amsterdam's International Growth Strategy

The launch of GreenTech North America aligns with RAI Amsterdam’s international growth strategy, under which successful exhibition concepts developed and organised by RAI Amsterdam are expanded beyond the Netherlands. These so-called geoclones bring established proprietary trade shows to new markets, tailored to regional needs and challenges.
