RAI Amsterdam receives three nominations for the Golden Giraffe Awards

RAI Amsterdam has received three nominations for the 26th edition of the Golden Giraffe Awards. The nominations highlight how our own events and initiatives deliver strong results, creative concepts and societal impact.

Recognition for effective live communication

The Golden Giraffe Awards are presented annually to organisations that excel in live communication. This year, a professional jury reviewed 78 submitted cases and selected eighteen nominees across seven categories.
RAI Amsterdam is represented in two categories with three projects, ranging from in-house exhibitions to social impact initiatives.

Smart strategies in own events

In the Conversion category, the invitation strategy of Horecava, an event organised by RAI Amsterdam, has been nominated. A data-driven approach shifted the focus from volume to relevance. Through targeted selection, AI validation and a redesigned invitation process, the share of decision-makers on the exhibition floor increased to over 65 per cent, reaching 79 per cent of decision-makers in the sector.

The Negenmaandenbeurs case also reflects this approach. Within this event organised by RAI Amsterdam, the Mini Club was introduced: a 1,000 m² pavilion designed for children aged 1 to 4. This concept extends the visitor relationship from one year to four and creates a new reason for families to return.

Creating impact through sustainability and health

In the Sustainability category, two projects have been nominated. The Love your Liver campaign brought health and prevention directly to the city. During an international medical congress at RAI Amsterdam, residents of Amsterdam were able to receive free liver tests at temporary facilities outside the venue. Around 900 people were tested within a few days, placing liver health firmly on the national agenda.

In addition, the RAI Donation Rooms initiative has been nominated. This programme ensures that leftover materials, food and products from events are redistributed to social organisations in Amsterdam, reducing waste while supporting local communities.

Building meaningful events together

These nominations show how RAI Amsterdam looks beyond the event itself. We develop our own exhibition concepts that evolve with the market, while using events as a platform for societal impact.

Although the Negenmaandenbeurs case was not nominated this year, it remains an important example of how we continue to innovate within our own events.
The winners of the Golden Giraffe Awards will be announced on 13 April during the award ceremony at the World Forum in The Hague.
