Accessibility RAI Amsterdam 17 and 18 December

Thursday, 15 December 2022

We would like to inform you about the accessibility by train during the dance event Valhalla Festival in the weekend of 17-18 December in RAI Amsterdam. The festival will start on Saturday 17 December 10.30p.m. and ends on Sunday 18 December 07.00a.m. During this weekend, fewer trains are scheduled to and from Utrecht CS and Amersfoort due to rail maintenance between Amsterdam CS and Breukelen. There will also be rail maintenance on other routes in the Netherlands. Depending on your journey, you can experience crowded trains, a modified timetable, detours or replacement transport which will cause additional travel time. The rail maintenance will start on Saturday 17 December 04.00am. hour and will last until Monday 19 December 02.00a.m.

What does this mean for your trip to RAI Amsterdam?
We would like to present the following options.

Additional trains will depart from station Amsterdam RAI to:

  • Utrecht CS: 7.18 hour.
Depending on the time, it is also possible to take the metro to Amsterdam CS or Amsterdam Amstel and from there you can travel by train.
  • Den Haag CS (via Schiphol Airport): 6.25 hour and 7.16 hour.
  • Almere Centrum: 6.25 hour.
  • Hilversum/Amersfoort: 7.22 hour in the direction of Utrecht CS via Hilversum.
Keep in mind that the train will be crowded. If you travel to Amersfoort CS change trains in Hilversum.

Important: check your journey in advance in the NS app or on ns.nl and check also your return trip. Shortly before departure, look for the most up-to-date travel advice. Pre-purchase your ticket online. This prevents you from waiting at the ticket machine. If you are traveling with an OV-chipkaart, please load sufficient credit on your card in advance.
