Vote Counting at RAI after Second Chamber Elections

Wednesday, 22 November 2023

Amsterdam, November 22, 2023 - Today is the day: the Second Chamber elections are taking place throughout the Netherlands, and the RAI is playing a crucial role in this democratic process. After the polling stations close on November 22, the votes will be counted in the RAI during the evening and night, with the counting process continuing on November 23 and 24.

Initially, the votes will be tallied per political party on the evening of the elections. Subsequently, on November 23 and 24, the votes will be meticulously examined on an individual candidate basis. This phased approach provides additional opportunities for scrutiny, ensuring a reliable outcome of the electoral process.

The vote counting takes place in Hall 7, Entrance R at Wielingenstraat. The lights in the RAI will remain on during these days. Vote counting is entirely open to the public; under supervision, you can monitor the counting process from 08:00 to 21:00. Alternatively, you can simply take a behind-the-scenes look.
