On King's Day, Saturday, April 27, 2024, the Netherlands will celebrate King's Day. In the Amsterdam metropolitan area, this day will be celebrated in grand style at various locations. This includes RAI Amsterdam. On Saturday, April 27, from noon until 9:30 p.m., the dance event 'Kingsland Festival' will take place for the tenth time in and on the forecourt of RAI Amsterdam. As in previous years, the organization is in the hands of 4PM Entertainment and E&A Events.
Assembly and disassembly
Set-up and take-down of the festival will be from Monday, April 22 to Monday, April 29. Soundchecks will take place between 19:00 - 21:00 on Friday, April 26. In addition, on the night of April 26-27 and April 27-28, work will take place between 23:00-08:00 on the outdoor area.
Permit and noise exemption
The permit for this event was issued by stadsdeel Zuid and the noise waiver by Omgevingsdienst Noordzeekanaalgebied. In consultation with the organization, RAI Amsterdam, Police Amsterdam-Amstelland, Fire Department, North Sea Canal Area Environmental Service and the district council, arrangements were made to ensure the event ran smoothly.
Traffic measures
Both when entering and leaving the event, proper dosage of visitor flow will be monitored. The bicycle path on the Europaboulevard towards Scheldestraat and Beatrixpark will be closed as of Thursday, April 25, 07:00. You will be diverted by signs. The bicycle path will be accessible again from Sunday, April 28, 20:00. Parking is prohibited in Wielingenstraat on Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27. On Saturday, April 27 from 11:00 - 23:00, the Wielingenstraat will be closed to through traffic. The Wielingenstraat will be reopened as soon as possible after the event.
Extra information for local residents on the Wielingenstraat side
- The three right-angled streets on the north side of the RAI complex; Eendrachtstraat, Krammerstraat and Haringvlietstraat will be cordoned off with high fences on Saturday, April 27, between 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. It will only be possible for neighbors living in those streets to reach and leave their homes via Deurloostraat between the time the fences are placed until after the outflow. This will be around 10:30 p.m.
- The high fences in the middle of Wielingenstraat will be placed on Saturday, April 27, around 10 a.m. and removed around 10:30 p.m.
- Visitors to Kingsland who come by bike will only be able to park their bikes at the RAI instead of nearby.
- During the exit of Kingsland, security guards will be present in Wielingenstraat. Enforcement and police are also present to supervise a proper exit of visitors.
Nuisance
If you do experience nuisance during the event, please report it via the organization's phone number 06 54 39 28 45 or via info@kingslandfestival.nl. The phone number can be reached on Thursday, April 27 from 11:00 - 23:00. When reporting by phone, you will be asked for your name, postal code, street and house number. On the one hand to be able to take measurements in the neighborhood during the day and on the other hand to have the complaints counted in the evaluation report on Kingsland 2024.

Cleaning
After the festival, cleaning rounds will take place in and around the porches of the Europaboulevard, as well as in the area from the RAI to Station Zuid.
