Security meets IT at the Amsterdam Security Conference
The biennial Amsterdam Security Conference (formerly known as the SSA Security Conference) will take place on Tuesday, 1 November 2016. It will bring together an inspiring line-up of speakers in RAI Amsterdam to illuminate a range of concepts linked to Security 3.0 and the ways in which the Internet of Things will change physical security. The moderator will be former speed skater Ben van de Burg, an innovator in the digital world.
The leitmotiv of the Amsterdam Security Conference will be cooperation between security professionals and IT specialists. To ensure that new security systems work in an optimal fashion, it is necessary to link the two professional groups. But that is just the first step – to fully realise Security 3.0, they must also speak the same language. The contents of the Amsterdam Security Conference programme were therefore defined in close consultation with both the Dutch Association of Security Professionals (VBN) and the Dutch Trade Association by and for ICT Professionals and Managers (Ngi-NGN).
New security platform: Amsterdam Security
The Amsterdam Security Conference will be part of a new platform called Amsterdam Security. This concept, an initiative by RAI Amsterdam, will further comprise the Amsterdam Security Convention (an international knowledge and networking event for decision makers in the field of safety and security) and the Amsterdam Security Expo (the largest trade exhibition for security and fire safety in the Benelux countries), both held from 31 October to 2 November 2017.
