Rebirth of the acclaimed International Amsterdam Motor Show

RAI Amsterdam treated car enthusiasts to an amazing display of unique cars, dream vehicles and auto accessories from private collections last weekend. The International Amsterdam Motor Show, which is being organised as a completely new car show unrelated to its previous incarnation, did not disappoint. According to the organisers, almost 60,000 fans came by to check out the proceedings.

Private collections
“We were thrilled that so many car collectors agreed to enter their automobiles in the exhibition,” says co-founder Sjoerd van Stokkum. “Some of the cars on display were worth up to 20 million euros! Numerous collectors have pledged to take part in next year’s event as well, and we expect to have lots of new highlights to show off.”

A new tradition for the Easter weekend
“Nearly 60,000 visitors for a new car show is unheard of in the Dutch event industry,” continues co-founder Ronald van den Broek. “We were, of course, hoping that tens of thousands of visitors would visit this first IAMS, but the actual numbers were well in excess of our expectations.”

The date for the second edition of the show has already been set for next Easter weekend, which runs from 18 to 22 April 2019. Next year’s IAMS will again start with a Preview Night, attended by over 2,500 people from the automotive industry this year. Car connoisseurs from all over the Netherlands and beyond can already save the date.
