RAI wins Silver M&IT Award for Best Overseas Conference Centre

RAI Amsterdam has won the Silver M&IT Award for Best Overseas Conference Centre. Lonneke van Megen and Mathys Taekema from the RAI’s Business Development Management department accepted the prize at the annual M&IT Industry Awards on Friday 1 March in London.

The Convention Centre Dublin took home the Gold Award while Fira Barcelona won Bronze.
A key benefit of these awards is that the nominees and eventual winners are selected by UK event organisers and the readers of Cat Publications’ Meetings & Incentive Travel Magazine. RAI Amsterdam had previously won Bronze in 2013 and 2014 and Silver in 2015 and 2016.

Up for the next prize
RAI Amsterdam has also been nominated for the Exhibition News Awards in the ‘Best International Venue’ category. Considered the most important award show in the industry, the Excellence Awards are presented annually to companies that have made a significant contribution to the exhibition sector. The nomination is something to be proud of as the organisers have stated that the quality of the submissions was extremely high.

Our submission included the cooperation with money 20/20, the launch of Amsterdam Drone Week and the transformation of the Park Foyer into a multifunctional location and extra square metrage for exhibitions. We also listed the hackathon and the Customer Journey Exhibitors in which we focused on the challenges of our clients. The Award Show takes place on 22 March. Let’s hope for the best!
