RAI Amsterdam helps improve accessibility of Zuidas
Major companies in the Zuidas business district of Amsterdam are joining forces in the Zuidas Accessibility Taskforce to ensure that the area remains easy to reach during the upcoming construction works. The expansion of the A10 South motorway, including the construction of a tunnel and a new railway station are already on the horizon.
So much building work in the area will compromise accessibility in the short term and throughout the enormous transformation involved in the realisation of the Zuidasdok urbanism and transport concept. With clear commitments and concrete actions, RAI Amsterdam aims to help employees, visitors and residents to have constant access to the Zuidas without problems. The agreements are laid down in a covenant which was adopted by 12 large companies and organisations with operations in the area on Thursday, 14 July.
RAI Amsterdam was among the signatories. The other companies and organisations who will work together in this taskforce are ABN AMRO, VU, VUmc, ORAM, CBRE/WTC, Vesteda, Akzo Nobel, Houthoff Buruma, Accenture, Deloitte, OVG Real Estate, the Zuidas department of the City of Amsterdam and the organisers of the Zuidasdok project.
