Plain-speaking on a bench for all
Several trees had to be felled on Wielingenstraat (the street that runs alongside one side of the RAI) in connection with the renovation of Hall 5. We turned to the Stadshout Foundation to have these trees transformed into distinctive benches at its sawmill.
We hope to make our neighbours happy with the unique benches, which will be placed at their final destination soon. The first ones have already been given a spot at the Food Bank point for the Zuid district. Several others will shortly be on display at the Beatrix Park. We hope these tree benches will help facilitate lots of fun meetings, extending our mission in the city we call home. The RAI will also plant trees back on the site to replace the ones that have been cut down.
