Football legends play for charity during IBC
This year, IBC is celebrating its 50th anniversary. As part of its anniversary celebrations, IBC is organising a charity fundraising football match against Lucky Ajax, a team of Dutch footballing legends. The “IBC Big Match”, open for visitors with free entry to the stadium, will kick off on 16 September.
The contribution of € 1500 per participating player will be donated to two charities: The Friendship Sports Centre and the Edwin van der Sar Foundation.
The Friendship Sports Centre is an Amsterdam-based charity that supports children and young adults who have a physical, mental health disability or chronic illness.
The Edwin van der Sar Foundation implements projects to support people with brain injuries through rehabilitation, participation and prevention.
Both charities provide support and rehabilitation to improve the lives of children and adults faced with illnesses or disabilities by providing the opportunity to take part in (sport) activities that aren’t readily available to them.
IBC is the world’s largest media, entertainment and technology fair and returns to RAI Amsterdam every year.
