Back in 2006 we wrote about the Venue VBOX, which uses shipping containers to construct portable retail stores, and now, from the same Singapore company, comes a similarly modular and transportable pop-up nightclub.
Aqua by Grandstand is a mobile lifestyle and night-spot venue created from fold-out "transformer" units.

Bakery focuses on bite-size treats |
When we wrote last year about Chicago-based Minnies and its bite-size burgers and sandwiches, we noted the concurrent rise of dessert-only eateries. Combining the two trends, a new bakery was recently launched in Traverse City, Michigan, that offers baked goodies strictly in two-bite sizes.

Hotel helps guests fight jet lag |
Back in January we wrote about an effort at the Aéroports de Paris to provide travellers with light-therapy breaks to stave off jet lag during the holiday travel season. At the time we suggested it might be a good idea for hotels to consider offering something similar, so we were gratified when one of our spotters called our attention to a hotel that's doing just that.

Most hotels today give guests a way to connect with them online before their stay, whether for making simple room requests or to shop ahead for items from the hotel's retail offerings. New York City's Pod Hotel, however, is now using an online forum to let guests make advance connections with each other as well.
