METS Newsletter: DAME nominees and key-note speaker announced

DAME JURY NOMINATES

Last week the jury convened in Amsterdam and selected the nominees. The winners will be announced at a special breakfast event prior to the start of METS on 17 November 2009 to an audience of exhibitors, VIP guests and journalists. During METS, all short listed products will be on display in the special DAME presentation, which is located in the RAI Elicium.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER

Michael Schmidt, managing director and owner of Hanse Yachts will deliver this year's keynote speech at the Breakfast Briefing. The Breakfast Briefing is co-organised by ICOMIA and will be held on Tuesday 17 November (08:00 hours in the Forum of Amsterdam RAI) to be followed by the announcement of the DAME - Design Award METS winner.

AND THE NOMINEES ARE ...

The Design Award METS (DAME) jury has short listed 53 products out of the 125 entered to win this year's competition, which is the most prestigious marine products competition in the world. A total of 125 products entered the DAME competition from 108 companies in 15 different countries.

MEET THE INDUSTRY OVER BREAKFAST

The Breakfast Briefing and DAME announcement will be attended, as is tradition, by METS and SuperYacht Pavilion exhibitors, media and special VIP guests. On a first come first served basis, 100 visitors who indicate their interest by sending an email to visitorsmets@rai.nl, stating "Breakfast Briefing 2009" in the subject will also be invited to attend.
