VAT refund over all business expenses What is VAT? In the Netherlands, BTW (Value Added Tax) is charged on most goods and services, thus Amsterdam RAI is obliged to charge all their exhibitors BTW on their exhibition and related expenses, for services utilised in the Netherlands.
International exhibitors are unable to reclaim the BTW charged by Amsterdam RAI through their home country's BTW process. A separate application MUST be made to the Dutch BTW authorities.
What costs can be claimed?The following costs may be claimed while traveling overseas (may vary from country to country):
